PRESSED ROOTS

Pressed Roots is an elevated salon experience devoted to the art of textured hair care, a luxury wellness space designed especially for Black women. Central to this vision is an ultra-chic salon with interiors defined by soft contours, muted blush tones, and fringing pampas grasses – a serene, modern, and welcoming setting for rituals of self-care.

Together, Mythology, Pressed Roots, and Derris developed a brand strategy that would enable a fuller articulation of the unique Pressed Roots offering and hone the brand personality as it expresses itself across touchpoints. For the visual identity, the teams worked to bring a new level of polish and sophistication to the brand system, introducing an expressive, interwoven monogram with silken movement, a finessed logotype, an expanded color palette, and brand typography that could accentuate a sense of style and depth.
